Instructions

  1. Scrub the mussels thoroughly under cold water, remove the beards and discard any that are already open.
  2. Let the garlic and chilli release their aroma in olive oil without browning.
  3. Add the halved tomatoes and let them break down for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the mussels, pour in the white wine and steam covered over high heat for 6 minutes.
  5. Discard any mussels that have stayed closed.
  6. Season with parsley, pepper and lemon and serve with white bread.
