500 g flour
Yeast
Grape molasses (pekmez)
200 g sesame seeds
Salt
Instructions
- Knead flour, yeast, salt and lukewarm water into a smooth dough and let rise for 40 min.
- Stir the pekmez with 200 ml water; toast the sesame in a dry pan until lightly browned.
- Divide the dough into 6 portions, roll each into two long strands and twist together; close into rings and press the ends firmly.
- Dip the rings through the pekmez water and dredge densely in sesame all over.
- Place on a tray and bake at 220 °C for 15–18 min until deeply golden brown and crispy outside.
- Let cool briefly and serve with tea.
