300 g brown lentils
4 beef sausages
2 potatoes
2 carrots

Instructions
- Rinse the lentils in a sieve under cold water; cut the carrots and leek into thin slices, the potatoes into 2 cm cubes.
- Sweat the vegetables (without potatoes) in a little oil over medium heat for 4 min.
- Add the lentils, pour in 1.5 l water and simmer at gentle heat for 20 min.
- Add the potato cubes and cook for another 15 min until lentils and potatoes are soft.
- Place the sausages in the stew and let them heat through for 5 min; season with salt and pepper.
- Season with a strong splash of vinegar – it lifts the whole stew – and serve hot.
