Instructions

  1. Shred the red cabbage finely, mix it with the vinegar, sugar and salt and let it stand for 30 minutes.
  2. Sweat the onion in the oil, add the cabbage and cook it briefly.
  3. Add the apple pieces, cloves, bay leaves and apple juice.
  4. Cover and braise over low heat for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove the cloves and bay leaves and adjust the seasoning.
