Ingredients · for 6 servings

Instructions

  1. Boil the milk with the cinnamon and lemon zest, then strain.
  2. Stir in the cornstarch and sugar and cook, stirring constantly, to a very thick custard.
  3. Pour into a shallow dish and let it set for at least 4 hours.
  4. Cut into squares and coat in flour, egg and breadcrumbs.
  5. Deep-fry until golden brown and roll in cinnamon sugar.
