Ingredients · for 6 servings
1 l milk- 120 g cornstarch
150 g sugar- 1 cinnamon stick
- Zest of 1 lemon
2 eggs- Flour and breadcrumbs
- Olive oil for frying
- Cinnamon sugar
Instructions
- Boil the milk with the cinnamon and lemon zest, then strain.
- Stir in the cornstarch and sugar and cook, stirring constantly, to a very thick custard.
- Pour into a shallow dish and let it set for at least 4 hours.
- Cut into squares and coat in flour, egg and breadcrumbs.
- Deep-fry until golden brown and roll in cinnamon sugar.
