Instructions

  1. Shred the cabbage very finely and knead it thoroughly with the salt and sugar.
  2. Let it stand for 20 minutes so the cabbage softens and releases its juice.
  3. Finely dice the onion, grate the carrot and add both.
  4. Season with the vinegar, oil, caraway and pepper.
  5. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour.
