Instructions

  1. Knead the flour, yeast, milk, sugar, egg, orange zest and salt into a dough.
  2. Work in the soft butter and let it rise for 90 minutes until doubled in size.
  3. Shape eight oblong buns and let them rise for another 45 minutes.
  4. Bake at 180 °C for 15 minutes until golden and let them cool completely.
  5. Whip the cream with icing sugar and vanilla seeds until very stiff.
  6. Cut the buns open at an angle, fill them generously with cream, smooth the surface and dust with icing sugar.
