Ingredients · for 8 servings
400 g flour
60 g sugar
1 sachet dry yeast
180 ml lukewarm milk
1 egg
60 g butter
1 orange (zest)
1 tsp salt
500 ml cream
40 g icing sugar
1 vanilla pod
Instructions
- Knead the flour, yeast, milk, sugar, egg, orange zest and salt into a dough.
- Work in the soft butter and let it rise for 90 minutes until doubled in size.
- Shape eight oblong buns and let them rise for another 45 minutes.
- Bake at 180 °C for 15 minutes until golden and let them cool completely.
- Whip the cream with icing sugar and vanilla seeds until very stiff.
- Cut the buns open at an angle, fill them generously with cream, smooth the surface and dust with icing sugar.
