Instructions

  1. Chop the walnuts and mix with the cinnamon, sugar and egg white.
  2. Pull the kataifi pastry apart in portions, place the filling on top and roll up tightly.
  3. Set the rolls closely together in a dish and pour over the melted butter.
  4. Bake at 170 °C for 45 minutes until golden.
  5. Boil the syrup, let it cool and pour it over the hot pastry – leave to soak for several hours.
