Instructions

  1. Whisk the olive oil, sugar and orange juice, then add the spices and baking soda.
  2. Work in the flour until you have a soft, non-sticky dough – do not knead.
  3. Shape oval cookies and bake at 180 °C for 25 minutes.
  4. Boil a syrup from honey, sugar and water.
  5. Dip the still-hot cookies into the cold syrup and sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
