Instructions

  1. Soak the beans overnight, then simmer for 45 minutes until tender and drain.
  2. Sweat the onions and garlic in olive oil until translucent.
  3. Add the tomatoes, sugar, salt and pepper and reduce for 10 minutes.
  4. Transfer the beans to a baking dish with the sauce and herbs.
  5. Bake at 180 °C for 40 minutes until the surface browns lightly.
