Ingredients · for 10 servings
500 g flour
250 g soft butter
5 eggs
60 g sugar
1 sachet dry yeast
100 ml lukewarm milk
1 tsp salt
1 egg for brushing
Instructions
- Knead the flour, yeast, milk, sugar, salt and eggs for 10 minutes into a smooth dough.
- Work in the soft butter piece by piece until the dough is glossy and pulls away from the bowl.
- Cover and let rise in the fridge for 2 hours.
- Braid into a loaf or place balls of dough in a tin and let rise for another hour.
- Brush with egg and bake at 180 °C for 30 minutes until golden brown.
