1.2 kg waxy potatoes
400 ml cream
200 ml milk
2 garlic cloves
150 g grated cheese
30 g butter
Nutmeg
Salt
Pepper
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and slice them 3 mm thin.
- Butter a baking dish and rub it out with a halved garlic clove.
- Whisk together the cream, milk, crushed garlic, nutmeg, salt and pepper.
- Layer the potato slices like roof tiles and pour the cream mixture over them.
- Scatter with cheese and bake at 180 °C for 55 minutes until golden brown.
