Instructions

  1. Knead a yeast dough from flour, yeast, milk, butter, sugar and salt and let it rise for 1 hour.
  2. Cut the onions into fine rings and braise them in butter for 25 minutes until soft and golden, without browning them.
  3. Let the onions cool, then stir in sour cream, eggs, flour, nutmeg, salt and pepper.
  4. Roll out the dough on a baking sheet and pull up a small rim.
  5. Spread the onion mixture evenly and sprinkle it with caraway.
  6. Bake at 190 °C for 35 minutes until the surface sets golden brown.
  7. Serve lukewarm.
