İncir Tatlısı
Dried figs, simmered soft in cinnamon milk, filled with walnut halves and served chilled.

Ingredients · for 4 servings
16 dried figs
600 ml whole milk
120 g sugar
16 walnuts
1 cinnamon stick
1 tsp vanilla extract
50 g pistachios
Instructions
- Soak the figs in lukewarm water for 15 min., drain, and snip off the tough stem ends with scissors.
- Set the milk with sugar, cinnamon stick and vanilla over heat in a wide pot and warm while stirring until the sugar has dissolved.
- Place the figs opening-side up next to each other and let simmer uncovered over the lowest heat for 25–30 min. until they swell plump and the milk has reduced by half into a cream.
- Toast the walnuts in a dry pan for 2–3 min. until fragrant, and let cool slightly.
- Press a walnut half into the bottom of each fig and return the fruit to the warm milk cream, remove the cinnamon stick.
- Chill for at least 3 hrs., then arrange four figs per plate with the cream and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
