Ingredients · for 2 servings
4 slices white bread
50 g butter
4 tbsp blossom honey
1 pinch cinnamon
1 pinch coarse sea salt
2 tbsp walnuts
1 organic lemon (zest)
Instructions
- Take the butter out of the fridge 20 min before preparing, so it's soft enough to spread.
- If the honey has crystallized, place the jar in a warm water bath for 5 min, until it flows smoothly from the spoon again.
- Roughly chop the walnuts and toast in a dry pan for 2 min, until fragrant; finely zest the lemon.
- Lightly toast the white bread slices without fat in a pan or toaster for 1–2 min per side, until crisp outside but still soft inside, and spread the still-warm slices thickly with butter right away.
- Drizzle the honey over spoonful by spoonful and spread evenly with the back of the spoon, almost to the edge.
- Sprinkle with the walnuts, lemon zest, a pinch of cinnamon and a few grains of coarse sea salt, and serve immediately.
